Urochordata is a subphylum of the phylum Chordata. The word Urochordata is formed from Greek word “oura” means “tail” and Latin word “chorda” means “cord”. This group is also known as Tunicata.
Animals of the group are treated as Urochordates (singular- Urochorsate). They are also known as Tunicates (singular- Tunicate)
